Q: What inspired you to found {business} and what were the main challenges you faced?

My inspiration stemmed from a deeply personal need-the salon where I had invested my time, creativity, and built a loyal clientele was closing. This closure not only disrupted my professional life but also left my clients without a safe and welcoming space to cater to their beauty needs. It was this void in the market for specialized hair care services for Afro-textured hair that I felt compelled to fill.

Some of my challenges were finding skilled, experienced, and professional stylists to work in a professional salon. Marketing the salon was also very challenging, as this is such a competitive business.

Q: Did you start the venture alone?

While I embarked on this venture without a partner, I was fortunate to have the unwavering support of my friends and family. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have been instrumental in the early stages of this business.

My business model is to provide individuals, men, and women with Afro-textured hair seeking specialized hair care. We offer personalized consultations to understand each customer's hair care and scalp needs to make each client feel valued.

Q: What's your business model, and how have you grown your revenue?

We have grown our revenue by offering various services, such as cuts, color, hairstyling, scalp and hair treatments, hair extensions, and more. We also sell retail products designed explicitly for Afro-textured hair.  I engage with my community by hosting events and workshops to promote the salon.

I also use social media and digital marketing strategies to showcase hairstyles; the company has a loyalty program to encourage repeated business and attract customer
